Abstract
Description
本発明の実施の形態1について、図面を用いて以下に説明する。図1は、実施の形態1に係るLED表示装置100のブロック図であり、図2は、LED表示装置100のLED表示ユニット13のブロック図であり、図3は、LED表示装置100のLEDエージング部20のブロック図である。
次に、実施の形態2に係るLED表示装置について説明する。図11は、実施の形態2に係るLED表示装置100の輝度補正方法を説明するためのグラフである。なお、実施の形態2において、実施の形態1で説明したものと同一の構成要素については同一符号を付して説明は省略する。
以上の説明では、補正係数演算部12と駆動データ生成部7は、プロセッサ30がメモリ31等に記憶されたプログラムを実行することにより、当該プロセッサ30の機能として実現された。しかしこれに代えて、補正係数演算部12と駆動データ生成部7は、当該動作をハードウェアの電気回路で実現する信号処理回路によって実現されてもよい。ソフトウェアの補正係数演算部12と駆動データ生成部7と、ハードウェアの補正係数演算部12と駆動データ生成部7とを合わせた概念として、「部」という語に代えて「処理回路」という語を用いることもできる。
Claims (6)
- 画像を表示するLED表示部を有するLED表示ユニットを備え、前記LED表示部は各色ごとに同じ特性を持つLED組よりなる複数の第1のLEDを有するLED表示装置であって、
前記LED表示部全体として各色ごとに前記第1のLEDの累積点灯時間を記憶する点灯時間記憶部と、
各色ごとに前記第1のLEDと同じ特性を持つLED組よりなり前記LED表示部とは別途に設けられる第2のLEDを含むLEDエージング表示部と、前記第1のLEDの点灯時間と対応させて各色ごとに前記第2のLEDの輝度低下率を測定する輝度測定部と、各色ごとに前記輝度測定部で測定された輝度低下率を記憶する輝度低下率記憶部とを有するLEDエージング部と、
前記点灯時間記憶部に記憶された各色ごとの前記第1のLEDの累積点灯時間と、前記輝度低下率記憶部に記憶された各色ごとの前記輝度低下率とに基づいて、各色ごとに前記第1のLEDの輝度を補正するための補正係数を演算する補正係数演算部と、
前記補正係数演算部で演算された前記補正係数に基づいて各色ごとに前記第1のLEDの輝度を補正する輝度補正部と、
を備える、LED表示装置。 - 前記LEDエージング部は、前記第2のLEDを駆動する駆動部と、前記駆動部に供給される駆動データを生成する駆動データ生成部とをさらに備える、請求項1記載のLED表示装置。
- 前記補正係数演算部は、前記点灯時間記憶部に記憶された前記累積点灯時間のうち最も累積点灯時間の長い色の輝度低下率に基づいて前記補正係数を演算する、請求項1記載のLED表示装置。
- 点灯開始時における前記第1のLEDの輝度は初期値に設定され、
前記輝度補正部は、前記第1のLEDの輝度が前記初期値になるように当該第1のLEDの輝度を補正する、請求項1記載のLED表示装置。 - 前記駆動データ生成部は、複数の点灯時間となるように複数のデューティ比を有する駆動データを生成し、
前記第2のLEDは、複数のデューティ比を有する前記駆動データで駆動される、請求項2記載のLED表示装置。 - 請求項1から請求項5のいずれか1つに記載のLED表示装置を複数備え、前記複数のLED表示装置の前記LED表示部を組み合わせて一の画面を構成する、映像表示装置。
