Abstract
【解決手段】燃料電池10は、電解質膜・電極構造体12を第1セパレータ14及び第2セパレータ16で挟持する。第1セパレータ14には、燃料ガス流路36と燃料ガス出口連通孔32bとを連通する出口連結流路56が設けられるとともに、前記出口連結流路56は、前記第1セパレータ14を貫通する複数の排出孔部41を有する。排出孔部41は、重力方向に沿って配列され、最下端の排出孔部41aは、前記排出孔部41aの上方に隣接する他の排出孔部41よりも大きな開口面積をして下方に延びる開口形状に設定される。

Claims (4)
- 電解質膜の両側に一対の電極を設けた電解質膜・電極構造体とセパレータとが、立位姿勢で水平方向に積層されるとともに、前記セパレータには、電極面に沿って反応ガスを供給する反応ガス流路と、前記反応ガスを前記電解質膜・電極構造体と前記セパレータとの積層方向に流通させる反応ガス連通孔とが設けられる燃料電池であって、
前記反応ガス流路と前記反応ガス連通孔とを連通する連結流路が設けられるとともに、
前記連結流路は、前記セパレータを貫通する複数の貫通孔を有し、
前記セパレータの一方の面には、前記反応ガス連通孔及び前記貫通孔を周回する第1流路シール部が設けられ、且つ、前記セパレータの他方の面には、前記貫通孔及び前記反応ガス流路を周回する第2流路シール部が設けられるとともに、
前記貫通孔は、重力方向に沿って配列され、最下端の貫通孔は、前記最下端の貫通孔の上方に隣接する他の貫通孔よりも大きな開口面積をして下方に延びる開口形状に設定されることを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池において、前記第1流路シール部又は前記第2流路シール部は、前記最下端の貫通孔の下方近傍に凹状部を形成することを特徴とする燃料電池。
- 請求項2記載の燃料電池において、前記第1流路シール部及び前記第2流路シール部は、それぞれの下端部が前記反応ガス流路に向かって又は前記反応ガス連通孔に向かって下方に傾斜することを特徴とする燃料電池。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の燃料電池において、前記連結流路は、前記セパレータの一方の面に設けられ、一端が前記反応ガス連通孔に連通し且つ他端が前記貫通孔に連通する第1流路部と、
前記セパレータの他方の面に設けられ、一端が前記反応ガス流路に連通し且つ他端が前記貫通孔に連通する第2流路部と、
を有し、
前記第1流路部及び前記第2流路部は、水平方向から下方に又は上方に傾斜することを特徴とする燃料電池。
