Abstract
【解決手段】商用電源から、装置の各部の回路で用いる5Vの電源5VGと、インクジェットヘッドのピエゾ素子を駆動する37Vの電源37VHとを生成する。電源37VHから、ヘッドドライバICを駆動するために用いる5Vの電源5VHを生成する。電源選択部は、電源5VGと電源5VHとのうち、電圧の高い方の電源を選択して出力し、ヘッドに供給する。

Claims (8)
- 第1の電圧を出力する第1の電圧生成手段と、
前記第1の電圧よりも高い第2の電圧を出力する第2の電圧生成手段と、
前記第2の電圧生成手段で生成された前記第2の電圧から、前記第1の電圧と等しい第3の電圧を生成し出力する第3の電圧生成手段と、
前記第1の電圧生成手段の出力と、前記第3の電圧生成手段の出力とのうち電圧の高い方の出力を選択する選択手段と
を備え、
前記第2の電圧生成手段の出力と、前記選択手段によって選択された出力とをそれぞれ負荷に供給する
ことを特徴とする電源装置。 - 前記第1の電圧生成手段から前記第1の電圧が出力されたら、前記第2の電圧生成手段による前記第2の電圧の出力を開始させる制御手段をさらに備える
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電源装置。 - 前記第2の電圧生成手段の出力が予め決められた電圧以下であるか否かを検出する検出手段をさらに備え、
前記制御手段は、
前記検出手段により前記第2の電圧生成手段の出力が前記予め決められた電圧以下になったと検出された場合に、前記第1の電圧生成手段の出力を停止させる
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の電源装置。 - 前記第3の電圧生成手段は、
前記予め決められた電圧が、入力電圧範囲のうち前記第3の電圧が出力される最低電圧である
ことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の電源装置。 - 前記予め決められた電圧は、前記選択手段の出力の供給先の負荷における安全電圧以下の電圧である
ことを特徴とする請求項3または請求項4に記載の電源装置。 - 前記第2の電圧生成手段の出力を停止させた場合に、該出力を放電させる放電手段をさらに備える
ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項5の何れか1項に記載の電源装置。 - 第1の電圧生成手段が、第1の電圧を出力する第1の電圧生成ステップと、
第2の電圧生成手段が、前記第1の電圧よりも高い第2の電圧を出力する第2の電圧生成ステップと、
第3の電圧生成手段が、前記第2の電圧生成ステップで生成された前記第2の電圧から、前記第1の電圧と等しい第3の電圧を生成し出力する第3の電圧生成ステップと、
選択手段が、前記第1の電圧生成ステップによる出力と、前記第3の電圧生成ステップによる出力とのうち電圧の高い方の出力を選択する選択ステップと
を備え、
前記第2の電圧生成ステップによる出力と、前記選択ステップによって選択された出力とをそれぞれ負荷に供給する
ことを特徴とする電源装置の制御方法。 - 請求項1乃至請求項6の何れか1項に記載の電源装置と、
前記第2の電圧生成手段で生成された前記第2の電圧と、前記選択手段で選択された出力とが電源として供給されるヘッドと、
前記ヘッドを用いて画像形成を行う画像形成手段と
を備える
ことを特徴とする画像形成装置。
