Abstract
【解決手段】 質量%で、C:0.1〜0.2%未満、Si:0超〜1.2%、Mn:1.2〜2.0%、S:0.01〜0.1%、Ni:0.5〜1.5%、Cr:12.0〜13.0%、Mo:0.3〜0.8%、V:0.07〜0.3%、Cu:0.1〜1.0%、Al:0.05%以下、N:0.03〜0.1%であり、残部Feおよび不可避的不純物からなる金型用鋼である。好ましくは、Siは0.1〜0.8%、Sは0.05〜0.1%、Nは0.04〜0.1%とし、不可避的不純物であるOは0.02%以下とする。あるいはさらに、金型用鋼の硬さが30〜45HRCである。

Description
Cは、金型強度を維持するための、好ましくは30〜45HRC程度の焼入れ焼戻し硬さを維持するために必要な基本的添加元素である。そして、切削加工時などに発生する加工歪を抑制するためには、鋼中の残留応力を低減しておくことが望ましく、このためには上記の焼戻し温度は高くできることが必要である。そこで、本発明鋼では、例えば550℃以上の焼戻しでも30HRC以上の硬さを安定して達成できるだけの、十分なC量を添加することが重要である。しかし多すぎると巨大な残留炭化物を形成して、被切削性や熱間加工性を低下させる。よって、0.1〜0.2%未満とする。

- 質量%で、C:0.1〜0.2%未満、Si:0超〜1.2%、Mn:1.2〜2.0%、S:0.01〜0.1%、Ni:0.5〜1.5%、Cr:12.0〜13.0%、Mo:0.3〜0.8%、V:0.07〜0.3%、Cu:0.1〜1.0%、Al:0.05%以下、N:0.03〜0.1%であり、残部Feおよび不可避的不純物からなることを特徴とする熱間加工性に優れた金型用鋼。
- 質量%で、Si:0.1〜0.8%であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の熱間加工性に優れた金型用鋼。
- 質量%で、S:0.05〜0.1%であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の熱間加工性に優れた金型用鋼。
- 質量%で、N:0.04〜0.1%であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の熱間加工性に優れた金型用鋼。
- 不可避的不純物であるOは、質量%で、0.02%以下であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載の熱間加工性に優れた金型用鋼。
- 硬さが30〜45HRCであることを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の熱間加工性に優れた金型用鋼。
