Claims (15)
- 製紙プロセスにおいて保水及び排水を改善する方法あって、当該方法が、任意の順序で:
(a)有効量の微粒子であって、任意にシリカ材料である微粒子と;
(b)有効量の促進剤又は相乗的に有効量の促進剤であって、改質ジアリル−N,N−二置換アンモニウムハライドポリマーを含む促進剤と;
(c)任意に、有効量の凝縮剤又は相乗的に有効量の凝縮剤であって、少なくとも約3dL/gのRSV(還元比粘度)を有する1又はそれ以上の高分子量の、水溶性のカチオン、アニオン、非イオン、双性イオン、又は両性のポリマーを含む凝縮剤と;
を製紙用完成紙料に加えるステップを具えることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記微粒子が、約700m2/g乃至約1100m2/gの表面積と;約20乃至約50のS値と;約13:1乃至約17:1のSiO2:M2Oのモル比と;を有しており、
MがNa又はKであり;SiO2固体レベルが約7パーセント乃至約16.8パーセントの重量パーセントであることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。 - 乾燥した完成紙料に基づいて約0.001乃至約10kg/トンの前記微粒子を加えるステップ及び/又は乾燥した完成紙料に基づいて前記製紙用完成紙料に約0.01乃至約10kg/トンの前記促進剤を加えるステップを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記改質ジアリル−N,N−二置換アンモニウムハライドポリマーが、約1乃至約99モルパーセントのカチオン電荷を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記改質ジアリル−N,N−二置換アンモニウムハライドポリマーが、約0.2dL/g乃至約12dL/gのRSV及び約7meq/gポリマー未満の電荷密度を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記改質ジアリル−N,N−二置換アンモニウムハライドポリマーが、逆エマルジョンポリマー、分散ポリマー、ポリマー溶液、ポリマーゲル、及びそれらの組み合わせから成る群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記改質ジアリル−N,N−二置換アンモニウムハライドポリマーが、約30乃至約70モルパーセントのジアリルジメチルアンモニウムクロリドモノマー及び約70乃至約30モルパーセントのアクリルアミドモノマーを含んでおり、
前記ポリマーが、約7meg/gポリマー未満の電荷密度及び約10dL/g未満のRSVを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 乾燥した完成紙料に基づいて、前記製紙用完成紙料に約0.005乃至約10kg/トンの前記凝集剤を加えるステップを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記凝集剤が、ジメチルアミノエチルアクリレートメチルクロリド第4級塩−アクリルアミド共重合体;アクリル酸ナトリウム−アクリルアミド共重合体;加水分解したポリアクリルアミドポリマー;及びそれらの組み合わせから成る群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- せん断段階の前;せん断段階の後;前記促進剤の前;前記促進剤の後;前記凝集剤の前;前記凝集剤の後;前記促進剤と同時;前記凝集剤と同時;前記促進剤と予混合する際;前記凝集剤と予混合する際;及び前記促進剤及び前記凝集剤と予混合する際;から成る群から選択される時点で前記微粒子を加えるステップを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- せん断段階の後又はせん断段階の前に前記促進剤を加えるステップを有し及び/又はせん断段階の後又はせん断段階の前に前記凝集剤を加えるステップを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記製紙プロセスのいずれかの段階で前記微粒子、前記促進剤、及び/又は前記凝集剤を加えるステップを有しており、
各組成物を、同じ段階又は異なる段階のいずれかで加えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記段階が、トレイの水、希釈ヘッドボックス流、薄いストック、濃いストック、及び薄いストックラインから成る群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の方法。
- 製紙用完成紙料に加えられるシリカの微粒子を活性化させる方法であって、前記微粒子が、約700m2/g乃至約1100m2/gの表面積及び約20乃至約50のS値を有しており、前記方法が:
(a)前記製紙用完成紙料に有効量の促進剤を加えるステップであって、前記促進剤が、約1乃至約99モルパーセントのカチオン電荷を有する改質ジアリル−N,N−二置換アンモニウムハライドポリマーを含むステップと;
(b)任意に、前記製紙用完成紙料に相乗的に有効量の凝縮剤を加えるステップであって、前記凝集剤が、少なくとも約3dL/gのRSVを有する1又はそれ以上の高分子量の、水溶性のカチオン、アニオン、非イオン、双性イオン、又は両性のポリマーを含み、前記凝集剤が、ジメチルアミノエチルアクリレートメチルクロリド第4級塩−アクリルアミド共重合体及びアクリル酸ナトリウム−アクリルアミド共重合体及び加水分解したポリアクリルアミドポリマーから成る群から選択されるステップと;
を具えることを特徴とする方法。 - 製紙用完成紙料における保水及び排水を改善するための組成物であって、当該組成物が:
(a)約700m2/g乃至約1100m2/gの表面積及び約20乃至約50のS値を有するシリカの微粒子と;
(b)約1乃至約99のモルパーセントのカチオン電荷を有する改質ジアリル−N,N−二置換アンモニウムハライドポリマーを含む促進剤と;
(c)任意に、少なくとも約3dL/gのRSVを有する1又はそれ以上の高分子量の、水溶性のカチオン、アニオン、非イオン、双性イオン、又は両性のポリマーを含む凝集剤と;
を含むことを特徴とする組成物。
