Abstract
Una composicion y un método para mejorar la retencion y el drenaje en un proceso de fabricacion de papel. Se observa un efecto sinérgico inesperado cuando se utilizan ciertas cantidades de un promotor en conjunto con una micropartícula. Opcionalmente, también se utiliza un floculante para mejorar más la sinergia observada. La micropartícula incluye un material silíceo inorgánico anionico o cationico. El promotor incluye un polímero de halogenuro de dialilamonio N,N-disustituido modificado. El floculante incluye uno o más polímeros de alto peso molecular, solubles en agua, cationicos, anionicos no ionicos, dipolares, o anfotéricos.
