Abstract
【解決手段】現像装置2に、トナーと磁性キャリアとを含む2成分現像剤を収容する現像槽111と、軸線回りに回転する第1回転軸112bと、第1回転軸112bを取巻き第1回転軸112bとともに回転する、強磁性体を含む第1螺旋羽根112aとを備える第1搬送部112と、軸線回りに回転する第2回転軸113bと、第2回転軸113bを取巻き第2回転軸113bとともに回転する、強磁性体を含む第2螺旋羽根113aとを備える第2搬送部113と、第1螺旋羽根112aを磁化する第1電磁石118aと、第2螺旋羽根113aを磁化する第2電磁石118bとを設ける。

Description
回転軸と、強磁性体を含んで構成され、前記回転軸を螺旋状に取巻き、当該回転軸とともに回転する螺旋羽根とを備える現像剤搬送手段と、
前記螺旋羽根を磁化する磁化手段とを備えることを特徴とする現像装置である。
前記切換手段は、前記電磁石に電流を印加する電源であることを特徴とする。
また本発明は、前記回転軸は残留磁化が小さい金属材料からなることを特徴とする。
また本発明は、強磁性体を含む螺旋羽根を備える現像剤搬送手段を磁化し、現像剤収容手段に収容されるトナーと磁性キャリアとを含む2成分現像剤を、磁化された当該現像剤搬送手段によって攪拌することを特徴とする現像装置のクリーニング方法である。

Claims (9)
- トナーと磁性キャリアとを含む2成分現像剤を収容する現像剤収容手段と、
回転軸と、強磁性体を含んで構成され、前記回転軸を螺旋状に取巻き、当該回転軸とともに回転する螺旋羽根とを備える現像剤搬送手段と、
前記螺旋羽根を磁化する磁化手段とを備えることを特徴とする現像装置。 - 前記螺旋羽根に前記磁化手段による磁場が働いている状態と、働いていない状態とを、切換える切換手段を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の現像装置。
- 前記磁化手段は、前記回転軸の一端部付近にのみ備えられる電磁石であり、
前記切換手段は、前記電磁石に電流を印加する電源であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の現像装置。 - 前記強磁性体は、残留磁化が小さいことを特徴とする請求項2または3に記載の現像装置。
- 前記回転軸は残留磁化が小さい金属材料からなることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1つに記載の現像装置。
- 前記螺旋羽根と前記回転軸とが、残留磁化が小さい金属材料で一体化されてなることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1つに記載の現像装置。
- 前記螺旋羽根は、前記強磁性体としてフェライト粒子を含む樹脂からなることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1つに記載の現像装置。
- 請求項1〜7のいずれか1つに記載の現像装置を備えることを特徴とする画像形成装置。
- 強磁性体を含む螺旋羽根を備える現像剤搬送手段を磁化し、現像剤収容手段に収容されるトナーと磁性キャリアとを含む2成分現像剤を、磁化された当該現像剤搬送手段によって攪拌することを特徴とする現像装置のクリーニング方法。
