Abstract
Description
[0001] 本出願は米国仮特許出願No. 60/752,340(2005年12月21日出願)に基づく優先権を主張し、その全体を本明細書に援用する。
[0002] 口腔用組成物に用いる研磨剤は、歯の外面を清掃し(debride)、物理的にスクラビングする(こすり落とす、scrub)。このスクラビング作用により、歯の表面にある主に唾液タンパク質、細菌および細菌副産物から形成された有機バイオフィルム(すなわち外皮(pellicle))が除去される。これは食物、たとえばコーヒー、茶およびベリー類、ならびに喫煙、カチオン性化合物および色素産生菌により着色および変色する可能性がある。着色した外皮のこのような物理的除去は、日常的に起きる望ましくない表面着色および変色を除去するための簡単で効果的な手段である。さらに、このような物理的な外皮除去により外皮表面の歯垢細菌も除去され、これにより歯肉炎、歯周炎および齲歯形成の可能性が最小限に抑えられる。しかし、口腔用組成物、たとえば歯みがき剤は、歯のエナメル質または組織に対する潜在的な損傷が生じるほど高い研磨性をもつべきではない。したがって、口腔用組成物の清浄および/または艶出効力を最適にし、一方では口腔表面の潜在的な損傷を避けるために有害な摩損性を最小限に抑えた、口腔用組成物を開発することが望ましい。

を含む口腔用組成物であって、第1研磨剤と第2研磨剤の比率が約1:1.6〜約1.6:1であり、約100を超える外皮清浄率(pellicle cleaning ratio (PCR))および約200未満の放射性象牙質研磨度(radioactive dentin abrasion (RDA))を有する口腔用組成物に関する。
シリカを含み、100,000回転当たりの損失が約5 mgを超えるアインレーナー硬度および約90cm3/100g未満の油吸収度を有する、第1研磨剤;および
シリカを含み、100,000回転当たりの損失が約5 mg未満のアインレーナー硬度および約90cm3/100gを超える油吸収度を有する、第2研磨剤
を含む口腔用組成物であって、第1研磨剤が組成物の約13〜約21重量%の量で存在し、第2研磨剤が組成物の約13〜約21重量%の量で存在する口腔用組成物に関する。
シリカを含み、約90cm3/100g未満の油吸収度および100,000回転当たりの損失が約5 mgを超えるアインレーナー硬度を有する、第1研磨剤;および
シリカを含み、約90cm3/100gを超える油吸収度および100,000回転当たりの損失が約5 mg未満のアインレーナー硬度を有する、第2研磨剤
を含む口腔用組成物であって、第1研磨剤と第2研磨剤の比率が約1:1.6〜約1.6:1であり;口腔用組成物中に存在する第1研磨剤と第2研磨剤の全量が組成物の約25重量%を超え;約100を超える外皮清浄率および約200未満の放射性象牙質研磨度を有する口腔用組成物に関する。

[0008] 本明細書中で用いるように、本明細書に記載するすべての測定値は、別途指示しない限り全組成物のうちの重量%である。さらに、本明細書に引用するすべての参考文献の全体を本明細書に援用する。ただし、本発明の開示におけるいずれかの定義と引用した参考文献中の定義の間に矛盾がある場合、本発明の開示が支配する。

実施例1
[0055] 表Iに歯みがき剤1として挙げる成分を含む本発明の歯みがき剤組成物を、下記の方法で調製する:サッカリンナトリウム、安息香酸ナトリウム、モノフルオロリン酸ナトリウム、および他のいずれかの塩類を水に分散させ、一般的なミキサーで撹拌下に混合する。保湿剤、たとえばグリセリンおよびソルビトールをこの水性混合物に撹拌下で添加する。次いで有機増粘剤、たとえばカルボキシメチルセルロースナトリウム、カラギーナン、および他のいずれかのポリマー、たとえばGANTREZ(登録商標)を添加する。

実施例III
[0063] 歯みがき剤1、歯みがき剤B、下記の表IIIに従って調製された歯みがき剤Cと表示される歯みがき剤、および歯みがき剤Dと表示される市販の増白歯みがき剤について、インビトロ艶出分析を実施する。歯みがき剤Cは、実施例1に歯みがき剤1について記載したと同じ方法で調製され、20重量%の普通の清浄シリカZEODENT(登録商標) 115を含有する。歯みがき剤Dは、CREST(登録商標) Dual Action Whitening Toothpaste(二重作用増白練り歯みがき)としてProcter and Gamble(オハイオ州シンシナチ)から市販され、下記の成分を含有すると考えられる:フッ化ナトリウム0.243 %、グリセリン、水和シリカ、水、ソルビトール、ヘキサメタリン酸ナトリウム(歯石防除/着色防止のため)、プロピレングリコール、着香剤、PEG-12、コカミドプロピルベタイン、SLS、CARBOMER(登録商標) 956、サッカリンナトリウム、ポロキサマー407、ポリエチレンオキシド、キサンタンガム、水酸化ナトリウム、セルロースガム、水酸化ナトリウム、二酸化チタン、ならびに着色剤ブルー1およびイエロー5。
[0067] ヒドロキシアパタイトディスクへのトリクロサンの平均取込みを表Vに示す。歯みがき剤1、BおよびCをトリクロサン取込みレベルについて比較する。有効成分トリクロサンの取込みは、Clarkson Chromatography Products, Inc.から入手できるヒドロキシアパタイト(HAP)ディスクを唾液コーティングしたもの(SCHAP)をヒトの歯のインビトロモデルとして用いて評価される。このインビトロモデルは、口腔表面における抗菌薬のインビボ送達および保持に相関性をもつことが見いだされた。
[0070] 種々の試料(A〜E)を調製し、本発明に従って試験した。試料Aは高清浄シリカではないものである。試料B〜Eは、種々の高清浄シリカ組成物である。すべてをアインレーナー磨耗分析(Einlehner Abrasian Analysis)により試験した。試料を10& W/V (100gを1000 mLの容量に希釈)で分散させ、アインレーナーAT 1000で二重試験した。結果を下記の表6に示す。

100,000回転当たりの損失が約5 mg未満のアインレーナー硬度を有する第2研磨剤
を含む口腔用組成物であって、第1研磨剤と第2研磨剤の比率が約1:1.6〜約1.6:1であり、約100を超える外皮清浄率および約200未満の放射性象牙質研磨度を有する口腔用組成物。
シリカを含み、100,000回転当たりの損失が約5 mg未満のアインレーナー硬度および約90cm3/100gを超える油吸収度を有する、第2研磨剤
を含む口腔用組成物であって、第1研磨剤が組成物の約13〜約21重量%の量で存在し、第2研磨剤が組成物の約13〜約21重量%の量で存在する口腔用組成物。
シリカを含み、約90cm3/100gを超える油吸収度および100,000回転当たりの損失が約5 mg未満のアインレーナー硬度を有する、第2研磨剤
を含む口腔用組成物であって、第1研磨剤と第2研磨剤の比率が約1:1.6〜約1.6:1であり;口腔用組成物中に存在する第1研磨剤と第2研磨剤の全量が組成物の約25重量%を超え;約100を超える外皮清浄率および約200未満の放射性象牙質研磨度を有する口腔用組成物。
