Claims (25)
- ローカルエリアネットワークに接続されたアクセスポイントであって、複数のWTRUに前記ローカルエリアネットワークへの無線アクセスを提供するために構成されたアクセスポイントを含む無線ローカルエリアネットワークにおいて、
前記無線ローカルエリアネットワークから利用可能な代替システムへWTRUをハンドオーバするためのハンドオーバ情報を含むビーコンフレームをブロードキャストするために構成され、
前記利用可能な代替システムの地理的なサービスエリアは、前記無線ローカルエリアネットワークの地理的なサービスエリアと重なることを特徴とする無線ローカルエリアネットワーク。 - 前記ハンドオーバ情報は、ネットワークのタイプに関する情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無線ローカルエリアネットワーク。
- 前記ハンドオーバ情報は、ネットワークIDに関する情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無線ローカルエリアネットワーク。
- 前記ハンドオーバ情報は、前記アクセスポイントによってサービスを提供されるセルの周囲のセル用のセル情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無線ローカルエリアネットワーク。
- 前記ハンドオーバ情報は、利用可能な代替システムによって提供されるサービスのタイプに関する情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無線ローカルエリアネットワーク。
- 前記利用可能な代替技術の少なくとも1つはPLMNであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無線ローカルエリアネットワーク。
- 前記利用可能な代替技術の少なくとも1つは別の無線ローカルエリアネットワークであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無線ローカルエリアネットワーク。
- 前記無線ローカルエリアネットワークは802.11bネットワークであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の無線ローカルエリアネットワーク。
- 無線ローカルエリアネットワークから利用可能な代替システムへWTRUをハンドオーバする方法であって、
ハンドオーバ情報をビーコンフレームに含めてブロードキャストするステップと、
前記WTRUのユーザにとって関心のあるシステムを決定するステップと、
前記ビーコンフレーム内の前記ハンドオーバ情報を読み取ることによって、どの代替システムが利用可能かを判断するステップと、
利用可能な代替システムに関するセル情報を前記ビーコンフレーム内の前記ハンドオーバ情報から検索するステップと、
前記ユーザにとって関心のある利用可能なシステムを選択するステップと、
前記選択されたシステムについてサービスエリアおよびサービスの質を測定するステップと、
前記測定が十分である場合に、前記選択された利用可能なシステムへ前記ユーザをハンドオーバするステップとを含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記ユーザにとって関心のある利用可能なシステムを選択する前記ステップは、利用可能なシステムを前記ユーザにとって関心のあるシステムと比較するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記ハンドオーバ情報は、ネットワークのタイプに関する情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記ハンドオーバ情報は、ネットワークIDに関する情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記ハンドオーバ情報は、前記アクセスポイントによってサービスを提供される前記セルの周囲のセル用のセル情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記ハンドオーバ情報は、利用可能な代替システムによって提供されるサービスのタイプに関する情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。

ハンドオーバ情報をビーコンフレームに含めてブロードキャストするステップと、
前記ハンドオーバ情報を読み取って、代替システムはハンドオーバ用に利用可能かどうかを判断するステップと、
関心のある前記利用可能な代替システムに関するセル情報を前記ビーコンフレームから検索するステップと、
前記WTRUは前記利用可能な代替システムをサポートできるかどうかを判断するステップと、
前記WTRUがサポートできる関心のある利用可能なシステムを選択するステップと、
前記選択されたシステムについてサービスエリアおよびサービスの質を測定するステップと、
前記測定が十分である場合に、前記選択された利用可能なシステムへハンドオーバするステップとを含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記ハンドオーバ情報は、ネットワークのタイプに関する情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記ハンドオーバ情報は、ネットワークIDに関する情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記ハンドオーバ情報は、前記アクセスポイントによってサービスを提供される前記セルの周囲のセル用のセル情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項18に記載の方法。
