Abstract
【解決手段】基材を洗浄及びプライムし、且つ、前記基材上に多官能性結合剤及び粘着プロモータからなる残留物を堆積させるワイプ溶剤組成であって、前記組成は、a)95乃至99.9容量%であって、複合蒸気圧が約45mmHgより低く、環境にとって好ましい揮発性有機溶剤と、b)0.1乃至5容量%の3−グリシドキシプロピルトリメトキシシラン多官能性結合剤と、c)(i)ビス[3−(トリアルコキシシリル)アルキル]ヒドロムコン酸、(ii)ビス[3−(トリアルコキシシリル)アルキル]琥珀酸塩、(iii)ビス[3−(トリアルコキシシリル)アルキル]フタル酸、及び(v)ビス[3−(トリアルコキシシリル)アルキル]ピリジン−2、6ジカルボン酸からなる基から選択される0.1乃至5容量%の粘着プロモート剤と、からなり、アルキルラジカルは1乃至約8個の炭素原子を含むことを特徴とするワイプ溶剤組成。

Description
「粘着剤結合のための基材表面前処理プロセス(Process for the preparation of substrate surfaces for adhesive bonding)」と題する1995年6月13日付けのエクハルト(Eckhardt)らの米国特許第5,424,133号を参照されたい。ここにおいて、粘着剤結合コーティング作業用のプラスチックフィルム若しくは複合材料基材表面の前処理プロセスが開示されている。かかるプロセスでは、含シリコン粒子等の研磨粒子を含む研磨組成を表面に塗布し、コーティングを表面に擦り込むことによって研磨粒子をその上に固定する。表面はイソプロパノール等の溶剤で拭くことによって最初に脱脂される。
プライマ、ペンキ、粘着剤コーティング、及び複合材料、金属、ガラス等の他の基材に対する結合特性を改善するために、アルミニウムや他の基材を処理すなわちコーティングすることが知られている。かかるプロセスは一般的にアルミニウム表面上にアロジン等の化成コーティング(CCC)の使用を必要とする。これにより、基材のペンキ、粘着剤等への結合特性が改善され、一方でコーティングシステムの耐腐食性が促進される。化成コーティングの組成には一般的にクロム酸、フッ化物酸塩及び促進剤が含まれている。
クロムは環境面で好ましくない化学品であって、米国環境保護庁(EPA)の削減又は除去対象になっており、含クロムめっきの代替や非クロム酸による処理バス(treatment bath)が学界及び産業界で広く研究されている。
代替非クロムコーティングの組成が開発されてきたが、かかる組成を塗布するプロセスは多数の工程を必要とし、各工程は一般的に異なる加熱プロセスタンクを必要とする。これは、従来のクロム酸の化成コーティング(CCC)プロセスにおいて必要な単一加熱プロセスタンクとは対照的である。本代替プロセスに必要なエネルギ及び装置を生産設備に適用することは事実上困難であって出費がかさむ。
(i)ビス[3−(トリアルコキシシリル)アルキル]ヒドロムコン酸、
(ii)ビス[3−(トリアルコキシシリル)アルキル]琥珀酸塩、
(iii)ビス[3−(トリアルコキシシリル)アルキル]フタル酸、及び
(v)ビス[3−(トリアルコキシシリル)アルキル]ピリジン−2、6ジカルボン酸
からなる基から選ばれる粘着プロモータである。
Claims (9)
- 基材を洗浄及びプライムし、且つ、前記基材上に多官能性結合剤及び粘着プロモータからなる残留物を堆積させるワイプ溶剤組成であって、前記組成は、
a) 95乃至99.9容量%であって、複合蒸気圧(composite vapor pressure)が約45mmHgより低く、環境にとって好ましい揮発性有機溶剤と、
b) 0.1乃至5容量%の3−グリシドキシプロピルトリメトキシシラン多官能性結合剤と、

アルキルラジカルは1乃至約8個の炭素原子を含むことを特徴とするワイプ溶剤組成。 - 前記溶剤はナフサからなることを特徴とする請求項1記載のワイプ溶剤組成。
- 前記揮発性有機溶剤はナフサとメチルプロピルケトンとの混合物からなることを特徴とする請求項1記載のワイプ溶剤組成。
- 前記溶剤はメチルプロピルケトンであることを特徴とする請求項1記載のワイプ溶剤組成。
- 前記アルコキシラジカルはメトキシであることを特徴とする請求項1記載のワイプ溶剤組成。
- 前記アルキルラジカルは1乃至4個の炭素原子を含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載のワイプ溶剤組成。
- 前記アルキルラジカルはプロピルであることを特徴とする請求項6記載のワイプ溶剤組成。
- 前記アルコキシラジカルはメトキシであることを特徴とする請求項7記載のワイプ溶剤組成。
- 前記粘着プロモート剤は[ビス[3−(トリアルコキシシリル)アルキル]琥珀酸塩であることを特徴とする請求項1記載のワイプ溶剤組成。
