銅イオン(D)、ケイ素含有化合物(E)、少なくとも一部に下記式(1);
上記水溶性樹脂(F)は、ポリビニルアミン樹脂、又は、ポリアリルアミン樹脂であることが好ましい。
上記アミノ基を有する水溶性エポキシ化合物(G)は、イソシアネート基を有するものであることが好ましい。
上記化成皮膜は、皮膜量が化成処理剤に含まれる金属の合計量とエポキシ化合物に含まれる炭素量との合計量で0.1〜500mg/m2であることが好ましい。
以下、本発明を詳細に説明する。
上記ジルコニウム、チタン及びハフニウムからなる群より選ばれる少なくとも一種の供給源としては、皮膜形成能が高いことからZrF6 2−、TiF6 2−、HfF6 2−からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも一種を有する化合物が好ましい。
これらの化成反応促進剤を化成処理剤に配合することにより、皮膜析出の偏りを調整し、基材のエッジ部及び平面部においてもムラのない良好な化成皮膜を得ることができる。
上述した化成反応促進剤は、単独で使用するものであってもよいが、必要に応じて2以上の成分を使用するものであってもよい。
なお、上記(A)〜(E)の密着性付与成分は、同時に耐食性を付与する効果もあると考えられる。
上記イソシアネート基を有することによって、エポキシ化合物との間に架橋反応を生じ、これによって皮膜の物性が向上する点で好ましい。上記イソシアネート基は、ブロック剤でブロックされたブロックイソシアネート基であることが好ましい。ブロックされていることによって、化成処理剤中に安定に配合することができる。
特に好ましい組み合わせとしては、(A)+(B)、(A)+(B)+(D)+(F)、(A)+(B)+(C)+((F)又は(G))、(A)+(B)+((E)、(F)又は(H))、(A)+(B)+(E)+((F)、(G)又は(H))を挙げることができる。
上記脱脂処理は、基材表面に付着している油分や汚れを除去するために行われるものであり、無リン・無窒素脱脂洗浄液等の脱脂剤により、通常30〜55℃において数分間程度の浸漬処理がなされる。所望により、脱脂処理の前に、予備脱脂処理を行うことも可能である。
また、本発明の化成処理剤を使用する化成処理は、従来より実用化されているリン酸亜鉛系化成処理剤を用いて処理する方法において、必要となっている表面調整処理を行わなくてもよいため、より少ない工程で金属基材の化成処理を行うことが可能となる。
攪拌機、冷却機、温度制御装置、窒素導入管、滴下ロートを備えた反応器にビスフェノールAエピクロルヒドリン型エポキシ樹脂(エポキシ当量190)190部、リン酸モノエチル38部を仕込んで130℃で3時間攪拌した。次に、ジエタノールアミン30部、及び、酢酸セロソルブ110部を加え、100℃で2時間反応させ、不揮発分70%のリン含有エポキシ樹脂−アミン付加物を得た。別の反応器に、2,4−トルエンジイソシアネート174部、フェノール96部、ジメチルベンジルアミン5部、酢酸エチル118部を仕込み、窒素雰囲気下、80℃で3時間攪拌しながら反応を行い、不揮発分70%、NCO10.6%の部分ブロック化イソシアネートを得た。この部分ブロック化イソシアネート30部とリン含有エポキシ樹脂−アミン付加物70部を攪拌しながら80℃で、4時間反応させた。赤外分光分析を行い、NCOの吸収が完全になくなることを確認した後、酢酸3部を添加し、イオン交換水で希釈し、不揮発分25%、pH4.1のアミノ基含有水溶性エポキシ化合物Aを得た。
市販の冷間圧延鋼板(SPCC−SD、日本テストパネル社製、70mm×150mm×0.8mm)、亜鉛系めっき鋼板(GA鋼板、日本テストパネル社製、70mm×150mm×0.8mm)、5000系アルミニウム(日本テストパネル社製、70mm×150mm×0.8mm)又は6000系アルミニウム(日本テストパネル社製、70mm×150mm×0.8mm)を基材として、下記の条件で塗装前処理を施した。
(1)塗装前処理
脱脂処理:2質量%「サーフクリーナーEC92」(日本ペイント社製脱脂剤)で40℃、2分間浸漬処理した。
脱脂後水洗処理:水道水で30秒間スプレー処理した。
化成皮膜形成成分としてジルコンフッ化水素酸及びチタンフッ化水素酸、各金属の硝酸塩、ケイ素含有化合物として市販のシリカ(日産化学工業社製、日本アエロジル工業社製)及びケイ酸ナトリウム、シランカップリング剤としてKBP−90(信越シリコーン社製)、製造例1で得たアミノ基含有エポキシ化合物A、PAA−10C(ポリアリルアミン樹脂:分子量15000:日東紡株式会社製)を用いて表1及び2に示す組成を有する化成処理剤を調製した。使用した化成反応促進剤は、A:クエン酸鉄(III)アンモニウム、B:亜硝酸ナトリウム、C:過硫酸アンモニウム、D:ニトロベンゼンスルホン酸、E:過酸化水素、F:アスコルビン酸、G:臭素酸ナトリウム、H:塩素酸ナトリウム、I:クエン酸、J:酒石酸、K:ニトログアニジンである。pHは、硝酸又は水酸化ナトリウムを用いて2.5〜5.5に調整した。調整した化成処理剤の温度を25〜75℃に調整し、各基材を10〜120秒間浸漬処理した。ジルコニウム及びチタン濃度は金属換算で、ケイ素含有化合物の濃度はケイ素成分としての濃度を示している。上記アミノ基含有エポキシ化合物Aの濃度は、不揮発分として添加した量を示した。また、ポリアリルアミン樹脂及びシランカップリング剤の濃度は、固形分換算で示した。
乾燥処理:水洗処理後の金属基材を乾燥せずにウェットなまま次の塗装工程に入るもの、冷風乾燥させたもの、熱風乾燥炉を用いて、80℃で5分間乾燥させたものを作製した。なお、皮膜量は、化成処理剤に含まれる金属の合計量とエポキシ化合物に含まれる炭素量との合計量で表した。金属の合計量は、「XRF1700」(島津製作所製蛍光X線分析装置)を用いて分析し、エポキシ化合物中の炭素量は、「RC412」(LECO社製水分分析装置)を用いて分析した。
化成処理剤1L当たり1m2の金属基材を処理した後に、「パワーニクス110」(日本ペイント社製カチオン電着塗料)を用いて乾燥膜厚20μmになるように電着塗装し、水洗後、170℃で20分間加熱して焼き付け、試験板を作成した。
〈皮膜外観〉
各実施例及び比較例で調製された化成処理剤により得られた化成皮膜を、冷風乾燥させた後、皮膜外観を目視で観察した。

化成処理剤1L当たり1m2の金属基材を処理した後、化成処理剤中の濁りを目視観察した。
〇:濁りなし
×:濁りあり
得られた試験板に、素地まで達する縦平行カットを2本入れた後、5%NaCl水溶液中において50℃で840時間浸漬した。その後、カット部をテープ剥離し、塗料の剥離を観察した。
◎:剥離なし
〇:若干剥離
×:剥離幅3mm以上
評価結果は、表1に示す。
脱脂後水洗処理の後に、サーフファイン5N−8M(日本ペイント社製)を用いて室温で30秒間表面調整を行い、サーフダインSD−6350(日本ペイント社製リン酸亜鉛系化成処理剤)を用いて35℃で2分間浸漬処理を行うことで化成処理を施したこと以外は実施例と同様にして試験板を得た。使用した基材、化成処理剤のpH、処理条件及び乾燥条件は表1に示した通りである
Claims (6)
- ジルコニウム、チタン及びハフニウムからなる群より選ばれる少なくとも一種、フッ素、密着性付与剤、並びに、化成反応促進剤からなる化成処理剤であって、
前記密着性付与剤は、亜鉛、マンガン、及び、コバルトイオンからなる群より選ばれる少なくとも一種の金属イオン(A)、
アルカリ土類金属イオン(B)、
周期律表第三属金属イオン(C)、
銅イオン(D)、
ケイ素含有化合物(E)、
少なくとも一部に下記式(1);
アミノ基を有する水溶性エポキシ化合物(G)、並びに、
シランカップリング剤、及び/又は、その加水分解物(H)
からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも一種であり、
前記化成反応促進剤は、亜硝酸イオン、ニトロ基含有化合物、硫酸ヒドロキシルアミン、過硫酸イオン、亜硫酸イオン、次亜硫酸イオン、過酸化物、鉄(III)イオン、クエン酸鉄化合物、臭素酸イオン、過塩素酸イオン、塩素酸イオン、亜塩素酸イオン、並びに、アスコルビン酸、クエン酸、酒石酸、マロン酸、コハク酸及びそれらの塩からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一種であり、
前記化成反応促進剤の配合量は、1〜5000ppmである
ことを特徴とする化成処理剤。 - アルカリ土類金属イオン(B)は、マグネシウムイオン、カルシウムイオン、バリウムイオン、及び、ストロンチウムイオンからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一種であり、
周期律表第三属金属イオン(C)は、アルミニウムイオン、ガリウムイオン、及び、インジウムイオンからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一種であり、
ケイ素含有化合物(E)は、シリカ、水溶性ケイ酸塩化合物、ケイ酸エステル類及びアルキルシリケート類からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一種である請求項1記載の化成処理剤。 - 水溶性樹脂(F)は、ポリビニルアミン樹脂、又は、ポリアリルアミン樹脂である請求項1又は2記載の化成処理剤。
- アミノ基を有する水溶性エポキシ化合物(G)は、イソシアネート基を有するものである請求項1、2又は3記載の化成処理剤。
- 請求項1、2、3又は4記載の化成処理剤により形成された化成皮膜を有することを特徴とする表面処理金属。
- 化成皮膜は、皮膜量が化成処理剤に含まれる金属の合計量とエポキシ化合物に含まれる炭素量との合計量で0.1〜500mg/m2である請求項5記載の表面処理金属。
