Abstract
【解決手段】脂肪酸Fのエステル化方法は、一部又は複数部の充填物3,4を備えた塔1で実施される。充填物は反応器としての機能のほかに、ストリッピングセクションの機能を有している。充填物は、少なくとも上部において反応ゾーン3として形成され、そこで、脂肪酸Fの不均一触媒反応が等モル比又は過剰モル比で使用されるアルコールAを用いて行われる。反応により生成した水は、アルコールリッチなストリッピングガスにより反応ゾーンから除去される。その処理済みストリッピングガス60は水リッチな留分63並びにアルコールリッチな留分62に分離される。そのアルコールリッチな留分はエステル化及びストリッピングガスを生成させるための出発材料としてプロセスに戻される。

Description

出発原料A=IPA及びF=PAに対しては、純度がそれぞれ95重量%及び98重量%であることが好ましい。しかしながら、他の値、すなわち、IPAでは88重量%〜100重量%、及びPAでは95重量%〜100重量%の範囲、もまた可能である。予備反応器2は100℃、2バールで運転される。しかしながら、それは、140℃までの温度及び対応する4バールまでのより高い圧力で運転が可能である。通例、異なる量のIPAがライン21と11を通って供給される。IPA(ライン21)のIPA(ライン11)に対する比率は、好ましくは2.5であるが、1〜4の範囲とすることもできる。塔1のヘッド圧は2〜5バールであり、それに対応して反応ゾーン3の温度は、120℃〜140℃である。中間生成物(ライン53)は加熱装置5内で、170〜200℃の温度まで加熱されるが;それを超えて250℃まで加熱することもできる。
イソプロパノールを用いたパルミチン酸のエステル化を、大気圧の塔内で、以下の条件下で連続的に実施した。

例1と同様な構築物を圧力塔において実現した。ここでは予備活性化済みの供給原料を使用したが、これにより予備反応器をシミュレートできる。わずかに過剰な圧力により、約140℃の反応ゾーンの範囲の温度を反応ゾーンにおいて設定した。以下の運転条件により顕著に高い反応転化率が得られた。

Claims (10)
- 反応器としての機能のほかにストリッピングセクションの機能を有し、かつ、少なくとも上部において充填物中に固定された触媒を有する反応ゾーンとして形成される、1部又は複数部の充填物を備えた塔内で、脂肪酸をエステル化するための方法であって、その方法において、脂肪酸の不均一触媒反応が等モル比又は過剰モル比で使用されるアルコールを用いて行われ、蒸発により油だめにおいてガス状のアルコールリッチな向流が生成され、ストリッピングガスとして機能する前記向流により反応ゾーンから水が除去され、その処理済みストリッピングガスが少なくとも部分的に塔頂部で液化され、その塔頂生成物が水リッチな留分並びにアルコールリッチな留分に分離され、そして、そのアルコールリッチな留分がエステル化及びストリッピングガスを生成させるための出発材料としてプロセスに戻される、上記方法。
- ストリッピングセクションの低部において、反応ゾーンから出てくる液体混合物から、ストリッピングガスを用いて、水とアルコールが分離されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ストリッピングセクションの上方に更なる充填物が組み込まれ、そこでストリッピングガスの同伴する脂肪酸がアルコールリッチな戻り留分の一部により捕捉されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- アルコールが反応ゾーン又はその下方に供給され、蒸発された形態でストリッピングガス流に寄与することを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 塔頂生成物の水リッチ留分及びアルコールリッチ留分への分離が、相分離器又は蒸留塔におけるパーベーパレーション法によって行われることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 予反応器においてアルコール及び脂肪酸を用いて部分的エステル化が行われ、生成した脂肪酸、アルコール、エステル及び水の混合物を塔の反応ゾーン又はその上方に供給することを特徴とする、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 純度が少なくとも99重量%である脂肪酸エステルが最終的に得られるように、緩和蒸発器又は蒸発塔により分離塔内で液体油だめ混合物の一部をさらに調製することを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- エステル化のために、脂肪酸及び/又はアルコールとして以下の出発材料:C12−、C14−、C16−、C18−、C18’−又はC18”−脂肪酸、すなわち、ラウリン酸、ミリスチン酸、パルミチン酸、ステアリン酸、オレイン酸又はリノレン酸のうちの1つ、及びメタノール、エタノール、n−プロパノール、イソプロパノール、n−ブタノール、イソブタノール又は2−エチル−ヘキサノールのアルコール類のうちの1つ、が使用されることを特徴とする、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 触媒として、好ましくは150℃から230℃の温度で使用可能な無機触媒を使用し、又は、本方法を120℃を超え140℃までの温度で実施する場合に触媒活性が適度にしか失われないイオン交換樹脂を使用し、触媒が好ましくは強酸型で存在し、イオン交換樹脂は好ましくはマクロポーラスに作られていることを特徴とする、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の方法を用いる不均一触媒反応によりエステルを製造するためのプラントであって、不均一触媒反応を実施するための充填物の一部を備えた塔を特徴とし、前記充填物が多孔性触媒担体及びその触媒担体間にストリッピングガス用のフローチャンネルを含み、前記触媒担体の孔中で本方法を実施するに際し、処理混合液は下方向に方向付けされた液体流を形成し、ストリッピングガスは上方向に方向付けされた流れを形成し、前記液体相が前記ガス相に直接接触して物質交換を可能とする、上記プラント。
