【従来の技術】
圧空成形で成形するカバーの開口部形状は、開口部の強度を保つため、開口部周縁をコの字状に形成している。
また.圧空成形の場合、板状のプラスチック材を伸ばして成形するため、材料の伸びが均一になることが望ましく、開口部も外形に合わせ、丸形カバーならば丸形の開口部、角形カバーならば角形の開口部にしている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上記従来技術は、離型後の材料収縮について配慮されておらず、丸形カバーであれば、開口部周縁が同一形状のために材料収縮が均等に行われ反り等の変形は起こらないが、角形カバーの場合は、開口部の辺中央と辺端部では、収縮に差が出てしまい反り等の変形が起きてしまう。
このため、カバー周緑に取り付ける飾り枠等と組み合わせる際に隙間が生じたり、変形したカバーを無理矢理矯正しながら組み合わせなければならなかつた。また、変形を防ぐためには材料の冷却時間を長くする等の特殊な作業をする必要があった。本発明はこの難点を解決するものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記課題を解決するため、開口部が変形することを考慮し、変形によって両端部と辺中央が直線に呈する程度に外側に膨らむ辺とする。このことから、成形直後は略八角形を成しているが、材料が冷却し、変形すると各辺が直線となり,四角形状となる。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明の実施形態について説明する。図1におけるカバー1は、圧空成形で成形された外形が四角形の壷状をなし、開口部2は、変形に強度を保つために、断面がコの字状を成し、また、材料の伸びを均一にするため外形に合わせた辺 3になっている。
ここで、図2−A・Bの従来技術を説明する。図2−Aに示す開口部4は、成形直後は材料が金型の辺に沿うため、辺5が直線の四角形になっている。しかし、離型後の材料収縮により矢印Aの方向に辺中央6が変形してしまい、最終的には図2−Bに示すような辺5が変形し、つぼまった開口部4になってしまう。
図3−A・Bの本発明構造について説明する。図3−Aに示す開口部7は、成形直後は、辺中央8が変形によって直線に呈する程度に外側に膨らむ、くの字状の辺8を成し、略八角形を呈している。材料が収縮すると矢印Bの方向に辺中央8が変形するため、最終的には図3−Bに示すような辺8が直線の四角形の開口部7となる。

本発明によれば、開口部を四角形にすることができるため、飾り枠等との嵌合部材を簡単にでき、また、反りを防ぐために冷却時間を長くする等の特殊な作業も必要にならないため、コスト削減も図れる。
