(57) [Summary] [Problem] To start an operation without causing a key operation error and without increasing the number of key operations in a case where an operator is authenticated using a fingerprint reading means incorporated in a key. Let it. Upon activation, a start processing screen is displayed on a display unit, and key input is waited. In this state, when an operation of a daily meter key for starting business is determined, a fingerprint imaged by a camera unit is detected. Is compared with a fingerprint registered in advance, and a match or a mismatch is determined. Then, when it is determined that there is a match, a business start screen is displayed on the display unit to permit the start of the business.

Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a business terminal device such as a counter terminal device installed at a customer service counter of a financial institution or the like. 2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as a counter terminal device, as shown in FIG. 4, a printing unit 1 for printing on a passbook or a certificate, a keyboard 2 provided with various keys for executing a job, a business A display unit 3 for displaying execution contents, an ID card reader 4 for reading an ID from an ID card and a printing unit 1, a keyboard 2, a display unit 3, and a control unit 5 for controlling the ID card reader 4;
As shown in FIG. 5, when the activation is started, an ID confirmation screen is displayed on the display unit 3 in S1, and then the ID card reader 4 is activated.
When an ID card is inserted into the device, the ID is read from the ID card to determine whether the ID is correct, and if it is determined that the ID is correct, a business start screen is displayed on the display unit 3 in S2 to permit business start. It is also known that when it is determined that the ID is not correct, an error screen is displayed on the display unit 3 in S3. [0003] However, in the case of using the ID card for the authentication of the operator as described above, there is a possibility that an accident such as loss or theft of the ID card may occur. There was also a security problem. As a solution to this problem, for example, as disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2000-122792, it is conceivable to incorporate a means for reading a fingerprint into a key of a keyboard. That is, the one disclosed in this publication is shown in FIG.
When the finger 7 is placed on the keytop 6 as shown in FIG. 2, light from the light emitting diode 8 incorporated in the key is irradiated on the finger 7, and the reflected light is reflected on the camera lens 9, the image sensor 10, and the IC group. The fingerprint of the finger is picked up by the camera unit 12 which receives light, and the fingerprint is compared by a computer. If such a fingerprint reading means is used for the above-mentioned keyboard of the counter terminal device, the operator can be authenticated without using an ID card, and no accident such as loss or theft of the ID card occurs. [0006] However, in the above-mentioned publication, a key incorporating a fingerprint reading means is used as a home position key, and a keyboard provided with such a key is used in a counter terminal device. When used, the home position key is not always operated at the start of the job, so there is a risk that a key operation error of operating the key to start the job without operating the home position key may occur. Was. Further, at the start of the work, the home position key is operated separately from the key for starting the work, so that there is a problem that the number of key operations increases. Therefore, the present invention relates to a device for authenticating an operator using fingerprint reading means incorporated in a key.
Provided is a business terminal device that can start a business without causing a key operation error and can start a business without increasing the number of key operations. The present invention comprises a keyboard provided with various keys for executing a task, a display unit for displaying the contents of the task, and a control unit for controlling the keyboard and the display unit. , The keyboard is provided with a specific key for starting a business, the specific key has a built-in fingerprint reading means for reading the fingerprint of the finger touching the key top, the control unit,
Providing a determination means for comparing the fingerprint read by the fingerprint reading means with a pre-registered fingerprint to determine a match or a mismatch,
The object of the present invention is to permit the start of work when the determination means determines a match. Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. As shown in FIG. 1, a printing unit 21 for printing on a passbook, a certificate, etc., a keyboard 22 provided with various keys for executing a task, a display unit 23 for displaying the execution contents of the task, and sending and receiving to and from a host computer. An interface 24, the printing unit 21, a keyboard 22,
Control unit 2 for controlling display unit 23 and interface 24
5 is provided. The control unit 25 includes a CPU, a ROM,
It is composed of a RAM and the like. The keyboard 22 is composed of a function keyboard 221 shown in FIG. 2A and a data keyboard 222 shown in FIG. 2B. A daily key 221a, which is a specific key for starting a job together with various keys, is arranged. This daily total key 221a is
This key is used to start an online connection with a host computer connected via the interface 24. This key operation is a key that must be operated first when starting a job. The data keyboard 222 is provided with full keys for inputting hiragana, katakana, alphanumeric characters, and the like. The date meter key 221a has, for example, the same configuration as that shown in FIG. 6, and includes a light emitting element, a camera unit including a camera lens, an image pickup element, and an IC group. When a finger is placed on the camera, a fingerprint is picked up by the camera unit. When the power is turned on and the control unit 25 is started, as shown in FIG. 3, first, in S11, a start processing screen is displayed on the display unit 23 and waits for a key input. In this state, when the operation of the daily key 221a, which is a specific key, is determined in S12, in S13, the fingerprint imaged by the camera unit is compared with the fingerprint registered in the internal memory in advance, A mismatch is determined (determination means). When a match is determined, at S14,
An operation start screen is displayed on the display unit 23 to permit the start of the operation. If the mismatch is determined, an error screen is displayed on the display unit 23 in S15. When the error screen is displayed, the redo key 221b of the function keyboard 221 is operated to return to the start processing screen of S11. In such a configuration, when the power is turned on and started, a start processing screen is displayed on the display unit 23. In order to start work in this state, the daily key 221a
Is operated, the fingerprint of the operator's finger is read, and collation with the fingerprint registered in advance is performed. If they match, the operator is authenticated as an authorized operator, and the display unit 23
Is switched to the work start screen, and the start of the work is permitted. Thereafter, various operations can be executed by operating the keys on the keyboard 22. [0015] When it is determined that the fingerprints do not match, the display screen of the display unit 23 is switched to an error screen, and the start of work is not permitted. That is, the operation is stopped in this state. To cancel this, use the redo key 221b
To return the display screen of the display unit 23 to the start processing screen. As described above, the fingerprint of the finger is read when the date key 221a, which is always operated at the start of the job, is operated.
Since the operator is authenticated by comparing it with the registered fingerprint, it is not necessary to operate the keys other than the key for starting the work to authenticate the fingerprint. Therefore, the business can be started without causing a key operation error such as forgetting to press a key. In addition, the business can be started without increasing the number of key operations. Further, there is no need to connect a device such as an ID card reader for authentication, and the entire device can be downsized. Furthermore, there is no accident such as loss or theft of an ID card. According to the present invention, as described in detail above,
When the operator is authenticated using the fingerprint reading means built into the key, the fingerprint of the finger is read when a specific key that is always operated at the start of work is operated, and the fingerprint is compared with the registered fingerprint. Since the operator is authenticated, the business can be started without causing a key operation error, and the business can be started without increasing the number of key operations.
