Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.医療装置において用いるための細長の部材を製造するための方法であって、 線状の弾性形状記憶金属合金から細長の部材を形成することと、 長手方向の柔軟性を維持しながら捩り弾性を除去するように前記細長の部材を 捩ることと、 細長の部材を引張力下におくことと、 該細長の部材を捩られたまま固定することと、 前記弾性の部材を超弾性合金に変態させることなく、細長の部材の少なくとも 一部を、引張力及び捩りによって生じる応力が除去されるように熱処理すること とを含む方法。 2.捩りの工程が、線方向の長さフィート当たり30回までの回転を含む請求項 1に記載の細長部材製造方法。 3.捩りの工程が、線方向の長さフィート当たり約15回の回転を含む請求項2 に記載の細長部材製造方法。 4.細長の部材を捩る前に、細長の部材に20〜45%の冷間加工が行われる請 求項1に記載の細長部材製造方法。 5.細長の部材を引張力下におく工程が、約2ポンドの引張力を用いて行われる 請求項1に記載の細長部材製造方法。 6.熱処理の工程が、約400℃未満の温度にて行われる請求項1に記載の細長 部材製造方法。 7.熱処理の工程が、約280〜300℃の温度にて約30分間行われる請求項 6に記載の細長部材製造方法。 8.細長の部材がワイヤである請求項1に記載の細長部材製造方法。 9.細長の部材がハイポチューブである請求項1に記載の細長部材製造方法。 10.医療装置が、ガイドワイヤ、ステント、針、針スタイレット、駆動軸、カ テーテル、バルーンカテーテルのシャフト、内視鏡及び細胞学ブラシからなる群 から選択される請求項1に記載の細長部材製造方法。 11.細長の部材が、少なくとも第1の部分及び第2の部分を有し、第1の部分 に、第2の部分と異なる量の捩り、引張又は熱処理が行われ、それにより、前記 第1部分が前記第2部分と異なる柔軟性、軸方向の剛性、捩り剛性又は真直性を 有する請求項1に記載の細長部材製造方法。 12.ガイドワイヤにおいて用いるためのガイドワイヤ心部であって、 第1の細長の部材を、長手方向の柔軟性が維持されたまま捩り弾性が除去され るように捩り、第1の細長の部材を引張力下におき、第1の細長の部材を、それ が捩られたままであるように固定し、第1の部材を超弾性合金に変態させること なく、第1の細長の部材の少なくとも一部を、引張及び捩りによって生じた応力 が除去されるように熱処理することによって、第1の細長の線状の弾性形状記憶 金属合金部材から形成される第2の細長部材を含み、 該第2の細長部材は、その端部の柔軟性を増大するために端部が研削されたガ イドワイヤ心部。 13.線状の弾性形状記憶金属合金が、約50%のニッケルと約50%のチタン を含む請求項12に記載のガイドワイヤ心部。 14.細長部材を捩る工程が、線方向の長さフィート当たり30回までの回転を 含む請求項12に記載のガイドワイヤ心部。 15.細長の部材を捩る工程が、線方向の長さフィート当たり約15回の回転を 含む請求項14に記載のガイドワイヤ心部。 16.細長の部材を捩る前に、細長の部材に20〜45%の冷間加工が行われる 請求項12に記載のガイドワイヤ心部。 17.細長の部材を引張力におく工程が、約2ポンドの引張力を用いて行われる 請求項12に記載のガイドワイヤ心部。 18.熱処理の工程が、約400℃未満の温度にて行われる請求項12に記載の ガイドワイヤ心部。 19.熱処理の工程が、約280〜300℃の温度にて約30分間行われる請求 項18に記載のガイドワイヤ心部。
