Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 希望に応じ、所定位置までカテーテルを案内するために血管あるいは 導管通路中へ導入するハイブリッドチューブ状案内ワイヤにおいて、ルーメンを 画成し、所定の捩じれ剛性と横方向可撓性とを有する材料から作られているチュ ーブ状壁を第1の細くて長いチューブ状部分と、前記第1の部分よりも捩じれ剛 性が小さく横方向可撓性が大きな第2の細くて長いチューブ状の部分とを含み、 前記第2の部分が前記第1の部分に対して同一直線上に装着されていることを特 徴とするハイブリッドチューブ状案内ワイヤ。 2. 前記第2の部分の外面が該部分の長さの少なくとも一部に亘って複数 の離隔した切欠部を含み横方向の可撓性を上げていることを特徴とする請求の範 囲第1項に記載の案内ワイヤ。 3. 前記切欠分が鋸切断により形成されていることを特徴とする請求の範 囲第2項に記載の案内ワイヤ。 4. 前記切欠部がレーザカットによって形成されていることを特徴とする 請求の範囲第2項に記載の案内ワイヤ。 5. 前記切欠部がエッチングによって形成されていることを特徴とする請 求の範囲第2項に記載の案内ワイヤ。 6. 前記切欠部が電子放電機械加工によって形成されていることを特徴と する請求の範囲第2項に記載の案内ワイヤ。 7. 前記第2の部分が近位端と遠位端とを有し、前記案内ワイヤが更に、 前記第2の部分の遠位端に配置されたX線不透過性の要素を含むことを特徴とす る請求の範囲第1項に記載の案内ワイヤ。 8. 前記第2の部分が近位端と遠位端とを有し、前記案内ワイヤが更に、 前記第2の部分の遠位端に配置されたMRI検出可能要素を含むことを特徴とす る請求の範囲第1項に記載の案内ワイヤ。 9. 前記第1と第2の部分とは前記第2の部分の一端を前記第1の部分の ルーメン中へ挿入可能とし、前記第2の部分をその中で固定するような寸法とさ れていることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項に記載の案内ワイヤ。 10. 前記第1のチューブ状部分の外径が約0.25ミリメーター(0. 038inches)から0.96ミリメーター(0.030inches)の間であり、前 記ルーメンの直径が約0.15ミリメーター(0.006inches)から0.76ミ リメーター(0.030inches)の間であり、前記第2の部分の外径が約0.2 0ミリメーター(0.008inches)から0.81ミリメーター(0.032inch es)であることを特徴とする請求の範囲第9項に記載の案内ワイヤ。 11. 前記第1のチューブ状部分の外径が約0.45ミリメーター(0.0 18inches)であり、前記ルーメンの直径が0.30ミリメーター(0.012 inches)であり、前記第2の部分の外径が約0.35ミリメーター(0.014i nches)であることを特徴とする請求の範囲第10項に記載の案内ワイヤ。 12. 前記第1の部分がステンレス鋼で作られ、前記第2の部分がニッケ ル−チタン合金で作られていることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項に記載の案内 ワイヤ。 13. 前記第1の部分のルーメンと、前記第2の部分の中空部分とにおい て配置可能で、かつその中で摺動可能な細長いワイヤであって、該ワイヤが占め る前記部分の長さの当該部を選択的に補強することが可能な細長いワイヤを更に 含むことが可能なことを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項に記載の案内ワイヤ。 14. 前記細長いワイヤが、該ワイヤがルーメンとある点を越えて中空部 とに挿入されるのを阻止するよう形成された停止手段を含むことを特徴とする請 求の範囲第13項に記載の案内ワイヤ。 15. 前記細長いワイヤが1個またはそれ以上の曲がり部を含み、そのた めルーメンや前記部分の中空部に配置されたとき、前記部分が細長いワイヤの曲 がり部に対応して曲がることを特徴とする請求の範囲第13項に記載の案内ワイ ヤ。 16. 前記細長い部分に1個またはそれ以上の曲がり部が予め形成され、 前記細長いワイヤが、前記部分のルーメンと中空部分とにおいて曲がり部の位置 に配置されると該細長いワイヤが前記部分を概ね真直とするように概ね真直に予 め形成されていることを特徴とする請求の範囲第13項に記載の案内ワイヤ。 17. 前記細長いワイヤがX線不透過性材料から作られていることを特徴 とする請求の範囲第13項に記載の案内ワイヤ。 18. 前記細長いワイヤがMRIにより検出可能な材料から作られている ことを特徴とする請求の範囲第13項に記載の案内ワイヤ。 19. 前記細長いワイヤが少なくともその一部に沿ってテーパが付けられ ており、その遠位端が近位端よりも細いことを特徴とする請求の範囲第13項に 記載の案内ワイヤ。 20. 前記第1の部分とチューブ状スリーブとの外径が概ね同じとなるよ うに前記第1の部分の端と当接するよう前記第2の部分の上に摺動可能に配置す るチューブ状スリーブを更に含むことを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項に記載の案 内ワイヤ。 21. 前記チューブ状スリーブがエラストマ、ポリウレタン、ポリエチレ ンおよびテフロンで構成されるグループから選定された材料から作られているこ とを特徴とする請求の範囲第20項に記載の案内ワイヤ。 22. 前記チューブ状スリーブと第2の部分とは全体的に隣接することを 特徴とする請求の範囲第20項に記載の案内ワイヤ。 23. 前記第2の部分が前記チューブ状スリーブの遠位端から突出してい ることを特徴とする請求の範囲第20項に記載の案内ワイヤ。 24. 前記チューブ状スリーブがつるつるした材料でコーテイングされて いることを特徴とする請求の範囲第20項に記載の案内ワイヤ。 25. 中央のルーメンを画成するチューブ状側壁を有する第1の細長いチ ューブ状本体と、中央のルーメンを画成するチューブ状側壁を有しかつ前記第1 のチューブ状本体よりも大きい横方向可撓性を有する第2の細長いチューブ状本 体とを含み、前記第2のチューブ状本体が前記第1のチューブ状本体に端と端と で接合され、前記第2のチューブ状本体の前記側壁がその長さに亘ってそこにス ロットを形成していて前記本体の横方向可撓性を増し、前記スロットの少なくと もあるものが前記側壁を通してルーメンまで延び、前記ルーメンを流れる流体が 該スロットを通して排出できるようにしていることを特徴とするカテーテル/カ テーテル案内ワイヤとの組み合わせ。 26. 前記第1のチューブ状本体がステンレス鋼から作られ、前記第2の チューブ状本体がニッケル−チタン合金から作られていることを特徴とする請求 の範囲第25項に記載のカテーテル/カテーテル案内ワイヤの組み合わせ。 27. 前記第2のチューブ状本体が、前記第1のチューブ状本体のルーメ ンに遠位端において近位端が装嵌されていることを特徴とする請求の範囲第25 項に記載のカテーテル/カテーテル案内ワイヤの組み合わせ。 28. 前記第2のチューブ状本体の遠位端に配置されたプラグであって、 X線不透過性材料およびMRI検出可能材料からなるグループから選択された材 料から作られていることを特徴とする請求の範囲第25項に記載のカテーテル/ カテーテル案内ワイヤの組み合わせ。
