Abstract

An isobaric machine for filling and corking wine bottles comprises at least one corking unit 100 and a corresponding filling unit 200, one placed above the other to define a joint vertical conduit 12, 13, 29 for the forced descent of a cork 6 in radially compressed condition as far as the mouth of a bottle 19 being filled and corked, said joint vertical conduit 12, 13, 29 having an intermediate portion 13 connected to means of feeding a pressurised fluid 35, 36, means of feeding wine 34, and means of venting said pressurised fluid 33.
