Abstract

Lifting compensator for firearms, especially pistols, which is characterized in that it comprises a muzzle which can be fixed to the end of the barrel of the weapon which is provided with at least one upwardly open window which extends circumferentially over a predetermined angle symmetrically, with respect to the vertical centre plane of the weapon passing through the axis of the barrel and a hole opposite this window which opens downward and lies in the said centre plane, the said muzzle forming a housing seat for a tubular insert provided with at least one cut-out and at least one hole coplanar with the said window and the said hole, the said tubular insert being angularly lockable in the said muzzle so as to correct the direction and magnitude of the reaction force on the barrel in order to substantially cancel it out. <IMAGE>
