Composti corrispondenti alla formula (FORMULA I) in cui: X e Y sono indipendentemente idrogeno; ossidrile; alchile inferiore avente da 1 a 6 atomi di carbonio; alcossile inferiore avente da 1 a 6 atomi di carbonio; oppure alogeno; oppure X e Y, quando sono adiacenti e considerati insieme, sono metil-diossi oppure etil-1,2-diossi oppure etil-1,2-diossi; R è un alchile inferiore avente da 1 a 6 atomi di carbonio; cicloalchile avente da 3 a 8 atomi di carbonio; fenile o alchifenile inferiore in cui ogni gruppo fenilico può essere opzionalmente sostituito da uno o due sostituenti scelti nel gruppo costituito da alogeno, alchile inferiore avente da 1 a 4 atomi di carbonio e alcossile inferiore avente da 1 a 6 atomi di carbonio; e R1 è un alchile inferiore avente da 1 a 6 atomi di carbonio oppure -NR2R3; in cui R2 e R3 sono indipendentemente idrogeno o alchile inferiore avente da 1 a 6 atomi di carbonio, oppure R2 e R3 presi insieme formano un cicloalchile avente da 3 a 8 atomi di carbonio; e n è 1 oppure 2; ed i loro sali farmaceuticamente accettabili, utili come antagonisti di 2-adrenocettori, in particolare come antagonisti perifericamente selettivi di 2-adronocettori.
