Abstract
The device 100 is connected to the electrical system 50 of a vehicle, which controls the rear optical assemblies 10, 20 of the latter which contain, among other things, two parking lamps A1, A2, two stop lamps B1, B2 and two fog lamps C1, C2. A first module of the device causes lighting-up, at partial strength, of one or both the fog lamps C1, C2 in the event of one or both the parking lamps A1, A2 not working. A second module causes lighting-up, at full strength, of one or both the fog lamps C1, C2 in the event of one or both the stop lamps B1, B2 not working. A third module switches the continuous light of the fog lamps C1, C2 when activated normally, into an intermittent light at the same time as lighting-up of the stop lamps B1, B2. A fourth module activates an indicator lamp 80 which signals faults affecting the modules or the lamps. <IMAGE>
