Abstract

At the present time there are electromechanical solutions available on the market, which use contacts of the strip or microswitch type to transfer the necessary pulses to an electronic computer through electrical cables. The frequent use and the necessary speed of implementation of the command gives rise to two problems in these solutions, namely: 1 poor response speed or sensitivity; 2 low reliability in the long term, owing to the mechanical contacts required to provide the contact. The contacts in the device in question are closed and/or opened by using switch bulbs which, under the action of the magnetic field generated by a permanent magnet, enable these contacts to be closed and/or opened by the movement of the magnet without mechanical pressure and thus enable the command pulse and/or pulses to be sent to the electronic computer. The absence of mechanical contacts yields two advantages: 1 fast response, since the speed of closing and/or opening of the contact takes place at electronic, not mechanical speed; 2 high reliability of the device in the long term, since the switch bulbs have an estimated service life of 10 x 10 to the seventh power operating cycles. <IMAGE>
