Abstract
In order to provide a driving assistance system that is capable of accurately detecting intersections requiring driving assistance and more appropriately providing driving assistance this driving assistance system (2) is provided with: a vehicle speed acquisition unit (64) that acquires information regarding the speed of a vehicle (1); an assistance condition determination unit (98) that determines whether or not an assistance activation condition which represents a condition under which driving assistance is to be provided to the driver of the vehicle (1) has been met on the basis of whether or not the vehicle speed (V) acquired by the vehicle speed acquisition unit (64) is less than or equal to a reference vehicle speed (V1) information regarding an intersection in front of the vehicle (1) and information regarding a leading vehicle; and an assistance implementation unit (100) that implements driving assistance when the assistance condition determination unit (98) has determined that an assistance activation condition has been met said driving assistance including any of warning at least the driver providing braking control and providing steering control.
