Abstract

A pouring insert for a container closable by a cup-shaped dosing, metering or proportioning cap 4 is cup-shaped and has at least 3 uniformly, circumferentially distributed openings 11 extending into the side wall and into the base area 10, of the cup-shaped insert. The base area is convex in the direction of the open end of the insert, so providing an annular region 10 into which the openings, in the form of six slots, extend. The insert is sealingly located in the container neck by means either of an outwardly directed annular shoulder 6 and a sealing face 12 or by a outer skirt extending over the outside of the container neck (26, Figure 2A). The dosing cup nests within the pouring insert and screws either into the insert (Figure 2A) or into the neck exterior by means of an outer skirt 5. <IMAGE> [GB2168946A]
