Abstract

An edible dry, friable powdered lipid composition for human or animal consumption consists of spray-dried particles each comprising fat and/or oil, protein, and emulsifier, in the absence of any additional particulate coating material on the particles, the total lipid content of the composition being more than 90% by weight and preferably not more than 96% by weight. This product may be used as a feed ingredient for ruminants, and satisfactory pelletted feedstuffs can be achieved having lipid contents of, for example, 5-12% by weight. [GB2031937A]
