Abstract

The texturing apparatus working with an air jet contains a cylindrical air chamber (35) and a tubular thread-guide element (20) arranged axially in this chamber. The chamber front wall located opposite the outlet orifice of the thread-guide element is designed as a Venturi nozzle (18). The rear wall of the chamber has an eccentrically arranged inlet orifice (32) for the compressed air. According to the invention, a specific range for the axial spacing between the rear wall of the air chamber and the outlet orifice of the thread-guide element of 9.5 to 16.5 mm is proposed. This measure allows an increase in the texturing speed, an improved operating stability and increased uniformity in the parallel operation of a plurality of texturing apparatuses. <IMAGE> [GB1518430A]
