Abstract

1441651 Pneumatic tyres DUNLOP Ltd 6 May 1974 [12 May 1973] 22728/73 Heading B7C A pneumatic tyre, particularly for motor-cycles, comprises a tread provided with transverse rows of blocks, the blocks A-E each having a ground engaging surface defined by two circumferentially extending edges and two transversely extending edges. In each row (a) the two first blocks A, E are each joined to the adjacent block (B, D) by a tie-bar 6, (b) the further block C straddling the mid-circumferential plane or, in the absence of such a block, the or each further block next adjacent that plane have longer transversely-extending edges than the first blocks, and (c) the first blocks A, E have a greater depth 27 than the depth 26 of the further block(s). As illustrated in Fig. 2 adjacent rows are reversed and offset. Dimensions 10-28 are listed in the Specification for a 5À00 Î 18 tyre. [GB1441651A]
