Abstract
1408453 Cigarette dispensers K-TEL INTERNATIONAL Inc 14 Dec 1972 [17 Dec 1971] 58198/72 Heading B8P A cigarette dispenser feeds a cigarette to an opening 20 when a handle 18 is depressed and as the handle is released the cigarette is raised to a position C, Fig. 2, where it can be easily grasped. A wet sponge 38 in the dispenser acts as a humidifier. The cigarettes rest on a tray 16 pivoted at 48, 50 to the base 12 of the dispenser and the tray is connected by lugs 91, 92 to the handle which is pivoted in members 86, 88, 90. A divider 62 engages in holes 64, 66, or 68, 70, according to the length of the cigarettes. When the handle is depressed, the tray is pivoted downwardly about pivots 48, 50 and guides 74 pass through slots 72 in the tray to separate the endmost cigarette. When the handle is released and a spring 76 raises the tray the endmost cigarette falls into a trough 54 and as the tray returns to its initial position tilting means 24 on the dispenser lid 14 raises the cigarette to position C. The base of the dispenser has three feet, (34a Fig. 6, not shown) which may be suction cups, triangularly disposed so that the dispenser will stand on a curved surface. The dispenser is of a moulded plastic.
