Abstract

1366138 Animal feeds UNILEVER Ltd 22 Feb 1972 [24 Feb 1971 14 July 1971] 5275/71 and 33030/71 Heading A2B A mixture comprising a lignocellulose material, for example straw, and a strongly alkaline aqueous solution, having at least 30 wt. % content, is subjected to intense mechanical working at at least 60‹C to give a feed. The thus-treated material may be neutralised by means of an acid substance, for example an inorganic urea salt such as the phosphate, or hydrochloric or acetic acid, preferably with further intense mechanical working. The feed may be extruded or pelletted. [GB1366138A]
