Abstract

1322381 Coating aluminium BRITISH ALUMINIUM CO Ltd 1 Jan 1971 [2 Jan 1970] 194/70 Heading B2E Aluminium, particularly the inside of beer kegs, has a protective coating comprising a layer comprising a mixture of a phenolic resin with an epoxy primer and a further coating of nylon 11 adhered thereto. Before application of the primer the aluminium is preferably caustic etched, chromic/sulphuric acid etched, grit blasted or subject to a chemical conversion treatment. Alternatively, an anodic film may be applied. [GB1322381A]
