1302983 Tear resistant rubber compositions INDUSTRIE PIRELLI SpA 19 April 1971 [26 Feb 1970] 22310/71 Headings C3P and C3Q A tear resistant cured composition comprises natural rubber (which is defined to include synthetic polyisoprene) optionally mixed with a minor proportion of a synthetic rubber (i.e. other than synthetic polyisoprene), conventional vulcanizing ingredients, carbon black as reinforcing filler, silica as a tear resisting filler and at least two parts by wt. per 100 parts by weight of rubber of disproportionated rosin, the presence of which reduces the tendency of the composition to "overcure". Examples relate to a latex based natural rubber and a mixture of natural rubber and a styrene butadiene copolymer. Uses.-Tyre treads and other heavy duty articles. [GB1302983A]
