Abstract

1307828 Liquid fertilizer composition FISONS Ltd 9 Nov 1970 [28 Nov 1969] 58258/69 Heading C1B An aqueous fertilizer solution having a pH in the range 3À6 to 4À4 and which does not precipitate out the trace elements, contains 0À1 to 10% phosphate ions calculated as P 2 O 5 , 0 to 1À5% of magnesium ions and 0 to 0À5% of iron ions (the combined weight of magnesium and iron ions forming at least 0À1% of the solution), and at least one chelating agent for the magnesium and iron ions. Typical ingredients are selected from phosphoric acid, ammonium phosphate, potassium phosphate; magnesium, ferrous and ferric sulphates, nitrates and chlorides ; and ethylenediamine tetra-acetic acid and its salts, aceto-diphosphonic acid and nitrotriacetic acid. Optional ingredients are N and/or K in the form of ammonium or potassium sulphate, phosphate, nitrate, chloride, or hydroxide; sodium nitrate; or urea. The composition is conveniently in the form of a concentrate which is diluted with water prior to use. [GB1307828A]
