[Also in Division C2] Pharmaceutical compositions, which may be administered orally, parenterally or by pellet implantation contain as active ingredients novel benzodioxole derivatives of the formula wherein R<SP>1</SP> is NH 2 , alkylamino, dialkylamino, morpholino, piperidino, pyrrolidino or dialkylaminoalkylamino, or OR<SP>9</SP> wherein R<SP>9</SP> is H, C 1-4 alkyl or a pharmaceutically acceptable inorganic or organic cation, R<SP>2</SP> and R<SP>3</SP> are the same or different and each is H or C 1-4 alkyl, R<SP>4</SP>, R<SP>5</SP> and R<SP>6</SP> are the same or different and each one is H, F, Cl, CF 3 , NO 2 or OH, C 1-4 alkyl, or C 1-4 alkoxy, R<SP>7</SP> is H or C 1-4 alkyl, R<SP>8</SP> is alkyl, alkenyl or cycloalkyl containing up to eight carbon atoms, optionally substituted with Cl, OH or C 1-4 alkoxy or an aryl group optionally substituted with not more than three equal or different substituents selected from Cl, F, CF 3 , NO 2 , OH, C 1-4 alkyl and C 1-4 alkoxy or R<SP>8</SP> forms together with R<SP>7</SP> and the carbon atom to which they are attached a cycloaliphatic ring containing up to seven carbon atoms, and pharmaceutically acceptable carriers. The above compositions, which may also contain other active ingredients such as analgesics, tranquillizers, steroids or hormones, have anti-inflammatory and/or analgesic and/or anti-pyretic activity.
