Abstract
1,174,513. Thermal regenerators. SVENSKA ROTOR MASKINER A.B. 3 April, 1968 [11 April, 1967], No. 15982/68. Heading F4K. In a rotary thermal regenerator, sector-shaped compartments in the rotor are filled with units of heat exchange material, each unit comprising a bundle of juxtaposed plates 26 mounted in a basket-like structure 27 between curved concentrically arranged rigid pressure plates 28 and 30, the outer plate 30 being secured to the basket 27 by welding at 34. The plates 26, which are held in compression, assume the same curvature as that of the pressure plates 28 and 30 which are securely held in fixed relationship by support bars 36.
