Abstract

The aim of this patent is air circulation inside the shoe. For this to happen, a plastic utricle with two valves is placed, one serving as an entrance and one as an exit. The utricle can be placed in one of the following ways: a) under the sole, b) between the sole and the heel, c) above the sole or d) on the top part of the shoe. The entrance valve is found at the back of the shoe, while the exit valve depends on the way the shoe has been manufactured (either in front, back or middle of the sole, on its upper or lower part or in front of the heel). Air is channelled to the toes and to the whole sole from the exit valve through plastic pipes or grooves. Function: When the foot is ventilated the entrance valve opens and fresh air enters. When the foot takes a step, then the weight of the body pushes the utricle. This pressure opens the exit valve and new air is channelled through the pipes to the inside of the shoe and from there it makes its way out. Therefore, the air inside the shoe is replaced mechanically.
