Abstract
Η εφεύρεση σχετίζεται με ένα καινούριο φωτοκαταλυτικό υλικό που ενεργοποιείται παρουσία ορατού φωτός. Το φωτοκαταλυτικό υλικό αποτελείται από κράμα διοξειδίου του τιτανίου και διοξειδίου του μαγγανίου. Η μέθοδος με την οποία παρασκευάζεται περιλαμβάνει την καθίζηση του οξειδίου του τιτανίου σε κολλοειδές διάλυμα διοξειδίου του μαγγανίου. Αυτό το φωτοκαταλυτικό υλικό είναι κατάλληλο για την απορρύπανση τόσο του αέρα όσο και του νερού. Μπορεί ακόμη να χρησιμοποιηθεί ως φωτοκαλύτης σε μορφή σκόνης σε επιστρώσεις επιφανειών όπως μπογιές, σοβάδες και άλλες εφαρμογές.
