Abstract

991,344. Centrifugal blowers. R. ZINSSER. April 1, 1963, No. 12897/63. Addition to 968,737. Heading F1C. [Also in Division F4] In a blower as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 4 of the parent Specification, the wall 6 of the casing is bent inwards at one end to produce a vortex b in the air or like medium flowing through the blower. This results in an accelerated discharge and avoidance of a low pressure area at c. The blower has an axial inlet at each end of the impeller 2. A driving motor 3 within the impeller 2 is mounted on a strip bridging one of the inlets. The impeller is axially divided into five chambers, the partition walls of the axially innermost chamber having smaller inlets than those in the axially outermost partitions. Guide plates 9 arranged in the discharge orifice 7 serve as supports for the elements of a heating grid 8.
