988,254. Magnetic-type endless conveyers. H. SPODIG. Sept. 7, 1961 [Sept. 8, 1960], No. 32086/61. Heading B8A. A frame for carrying a non-magnetic conveyer belt 3 comprises two channels 4, 5 and a connecting plate 6 which carries magnets 9. A pole rail or plate 10 on the magnets is in a common plane with the upper flanges of the channels 4, 5 which are angled and recessed to receive ferromagnetic rollers 26. Rollers 27 in the gaps between the rail 10 and the channels 4, 5 are of non-magnetic material. The rail 10 and the upper flanges of the channels form three continuous poles for the belt 3 and no substantial magnetic break occurs in the region of the recesses in the flanges.
