987,158. Universal joints. B.R.D. CO. Ltd. March 24, 1964 [April 11, 1963], No. 14491/63. Heading F2U. Trunnion bearing cups 15 for the cross pins 10 of a Hooke's joint enter housings 21, which may be integral with the pins 10, a packing ring 14 and an anti-friction washer 18 being interposed between the end of a cup and the housing, and an O ring 20 engaging the end of the housing and a shoulder 19 on the bearing cup to prevent escape of lubricant and entry of dirt.
