986,277. Valves. HALBERGERHUTTE G.m.b.H. March 16, 1962 [March 17, 1961], No. 10142/62. Heading F2V. A part-spherical valve member 1, more especially for a high-speed piston pump, is guided and loaded by a rubber body 5 to which it is joined, e.g. by vulcanizing. The body 5, which may be secured to the pump part 3 by vulcanizing, or by a threaded bolt &c. vulcanized to the body, or by engagement of the body in a recess in the part 3, may have a waisted portion and it may be hollow. Also it may be of hollow, conical or spherical form or it may be hollow with an outwardly projecting annular portion.
