940,594. Valves. LESLIE HARTRIDGE Ltd. Oct. 18, 1961 [Oct. 28, 1960], No. 37156/60. Heading F2V. A non-return valve comprises a hollow body 11 seated on base 17a having inlet 20, a seat member 19a within the body with a seat 21, a resilient circular or oval sectioned ring 23 surrounding the seat and engaging the body inner wall, and a movable valve member 24 which seals with the ring before engaging the seat, the ring sealing between the valve and seat and between the seat member and the body. The valve 24 may be a ball or disc and the seat member may be integral with the base.
