982,959. Junction boxes. MARBOURN Ltd. July 25, 1963 [Aug. 28, 1962], No. 33034/62. Heading H2E. A cable connector has a holder body 1 (Fig. 1), with two or more separable parts 2, 3, and oppositely directed cable entries, and has gripping means to anchor each cable with releasable connecting means 11, provided opposite each entry for connecting cable conductors. The gripping means may be a fibre strip 16 (Fig. 2), forced against the cable with screws 17, or resilient sleeves 24 Fig. 6, (not shown), which are compressed on to the cable when the body is assembled.
