982,186. Inductors. E. K. COLE Ltd., A. E. KING, and F. G. GRISLEY. Oct. 22, 1962 [Oct. 21, 1961], No. 37828/61. Heading H1T. An inductance coil assembly comprises a former carrying a coil around which is cast a core of magnetic particles in a thermoplastic substance. The coil may be tuned by an adjustable magnetic slug. In a manufacturing process an inner sleeve is inserted in the mould which is then filled with the core composition and the coil is finally inserted, on its former, before the composition coils. The assembly may be similar to that disclosed in Specification 873,467.
