980,670. Radio receiving apparatus. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. Sept. 6, 1963 [Sept. 10, 1962], No. 35288/63. Headings H3Q and H4J. A transistorized radio receiver comprising a casing enclosing a loud-speaker 1 and provided with apertures 3 at the rear, is detachably mounted within a housing 4 provided with an opening 5 at the front for forwardly directing the sound escaping through the apertures 3. The space within the housing 4 exterior to the receiver casing may be divided into compartments by a plurality of vertical partitions, Fig. 3 (not shown). The housing may be provided with a detachable cover 8.
