A pressure vessel end made from glassfibre-reinforced plastic is of domed form and has a flange 1, ribs 3 being provided on the curved surface extending from the apex thereof to the flange. The unit may be of composite construction and consist of layers of woven glass cloth alternating with chopped strand mat. A boss 4 accommodates inlet or outlet connections.
