Abstract

976,945. Terminal boards and blocks; couplings. D. G. E. BARRIE, and R. F. STILL. Aug. 2, 1963 [June 20, 1962], No. 23839/62. Heading H2E. Units are mounted together to form the insulating structure for a terminal block, each unit having two projections, each formed from two superimposed rectangular portions 14 and 15, on one face, and complementary grooves on the opposite face, the projections and grooves being shaped as shown in Figs. 2 and 1 respectively. Each unit has on top at least two terminal screws and washers connected by a conducting strip of well known design, also an upstanding wall portion 20, which has a lateral projection 21, to come over the strip to locate it in position in co-operation with the screws. The series of units are terminated at each end by a bracket, Figs. 3, 7 and 8 (not shown), adapted to be connected to a supporting surface and shaped to interfit with adjacent units. Hole 46 can accommodate one arm of a Z- shaped metal foot, the other end of which can be screwed to a support, the screwed connection being located in slot 47.
