Abstract

1,235,071. Electric couplings. HEGO ELECTRIC G.m.b.H. 4 March, 1969 [20 Aug., 1968], No. 11353/69. Heading H2E. A clip-on unit comprises an insulating housing 2 for mounting on a standard support bar 1, connection points in the housing for incoming and outgoing control wires and a rectangular or stepped recess 4 arranged and constructed to receive one or more exchangeable circuit boards 5 for connection of electronic elements mounted thereon. As shown, board 5 of the plug-in type engages contacts 6 which are fixed in the rectangular recess 4 although connection may be established by means of screws. The fixed contacts 6 are electrically connected to the connectors 3 which may be solder tags, plug-in or screw connectors. The electronic elements may be preceded in series by a fuse (8, Fig. 2, not shown) and the board may have contact strips on both sides. A housing having a stepped recess having mutually offset contacts spaced down its stepped sides and a circuit board, the edges of which are correspondingly stepped are also described (Figs. 4, 5, not shown).
