[Also in Division Fl] A multi-engine power plant has two enginees 16, 17 arranged end to end with a gear-box between them, one engine being connected without intermediate gearing to one end of an output shaft 21 which passes through the gearbox and the other engine being connected to a gear-box input shaft inclined at an acute angle to the output shaft. Two pairs of engines, controlled from desk 18, are arranged to drive parallel output shafts in a ship's hull 11.
