Abstract

A corrosion-resistant martensitic steel has the following composition: <TABS:0973489/C6-C7/1> the balance being iron plus usual impurities. Heat treatments described are (1) air cooling from 1050 DEG C., (2) air cooling from 1050 DEG C. followed by two hours at 450 DEG C. or 550 DEG C., and (3) 1050 DEG C., air cooling, two hours at 750 DEG C., air cooling, two hours at 550 DEG C. and finally air cooling.
