972,111. Impedance networks. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. June 18, 1963 [June 21, 1962], No. 24213/63. Heading H3U. An electrical filter with adjustable frequency, e.g. for a tone-control circuit, comprises a shunt capacitor C 1 , a series-connected potentiometer R 1 and shunt capacitor C 2 of equal value to C 1 , a second resistor R 2 shunt-connected after the second capacitor C 2 , and a third resistor R 3 shunt connected to the adjustable tapping of the potentiometer R 1 . Adjustment of the potentiometer tapping 5 alters the filter frequency, but the filter impedance remains constant for such adjustment.
