Abstract
1,241,394. Tone control. WARWICK ELECTRONICS Inc. 1 April, 1970, No. 15362/70. Headings H3U and H3W. A tone control arrangement comprises a pair of series-connected capacitors 5, 9 connected between input and output terminals 1, 13 across which are also connected in series inductor 4 and resistor 11, between the join of which and common earth terminal 7 is connected a further capacitor 8. A single potentiometer 6 controls the effective insertion loss of the network, being connected in the embodiment between the join 14 of capacitors 5, 9 and the join of inductor 4 and resistor 11, and its slider being connected to the earth terminal 7. The embodiment also comprises series resistor 2, which may comprise the impedance of the driving source, a D.C. blocking capacitor C1, and an output shunt resistor R3.
